I don’t know that I’ll ever fully understand the sense of urgency I feel around making music. Some sort of obligation I sometimes feel I have to an unknown listener. It’s the part of my creative identity I feel the most confident in. When I am hit with inspiration to share my own feelings or the feelings of others, it comes out through music. Throughout the last decade of my life I’ve been fortunate enough to be trusted by filmmakers and brands to help bring their stories to life this way. I create from a very intuitive place — often feeling more like an explorer than a composer. So far it seems to be working out okay and I don’t know that the sense of urgency will be fading anytime soon.
